Brett N. Fry, CFA, CFP®

Brett is the Managing Director of our office in Dallas, TX.  In his current role, Brett oversees all aspects of client relationships whether that be creating financial plans, managing investment portfolios, or coordinating tax, estate, or insurance strategies with other professionals in this network.  Brett’s expertise in portfolio management, planning for the sale of a business, managing concentrated stock positions and helping young professionals accumulate wealth enables him to guide clients through their continuously changing financial decisions.

Prior to rejoining Forteris Wealth Management, Brett worked for BNY Mellon in New York City as a Wealth Manager.  In this role, Brett worked with both institutional clients and high net worth individuals to design customized portfolios that help meet their stated investment objectives.  In his previous term with Forteris, Brett was a Wealth Advisor.  In this role, he oversaw Financial Planning related analyses across the firm’s clients base as well as the day-to-day management of the firm’s fixed-income holdings. Brett was also a Financial Advisor at Altfest Personal Wealth Management in New York City where he had similar responsibilities with the firm’s fixed-income holdings.  In this role, he was also in charge of managing client portfolios and formulating comprehensive wealth management plans.

Before moving to New York City, Brett graduated from Texas Tech University with a M.B.A. in Finance and a M.S. in Personal Financial Planning.  Brett also has a B.B.A. in Finance from Stephen F. Austin State University.  Brett holds the Certified Financial Planner™ designation as well as the coveted Chartered Financial Analyst designation.  Brett is also a NAPFA Registered Financial Advisor, a member of XY Planning Network, and a member of Fee-Only Network.

In his spare time, Brett enjoys spending time with his wife and dogs as well as hanging out with friends and family in the area.  During football season, Brett enjoys watching Texas Tech Football games as well as the Dallas Cowboys on Sundays.  In the football off-season, you will find Brett playing golf with his friends.
